Jethro Tull, England’s sensational progressive rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Budweiser Stage!
The band was formed in Luton (England) in 1971 and it currently consists of Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John O'Hara, David Goodier, and Doane Perry. Over the years, their musical style has spanned many genres including progressive rock (a broad subgenre of rock music that grew out of psychedelic bands who abandoned standard traditions in favour of instrumentation and compositional techniques more frequently associated with jazz, folk or classical music), hard rock (a loosely defined subgenre of rock music featuring heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards), blues rock (a fusion genre combining elements of blues and rock, characterized by bluesy improvisation, the twelve bar blues, extended boogie jams typically focused on the electric guitar player, and often a heavier, riff oriented sound), and folk rock (a style that arose in the United States and the United Kingdom around the mid 1960s, pioneered by the Los Angeles band the Byrds, who began playing traditional folk music and songs by Bob Dylan with rock instrumentation, in a style heavily influenced by the Beatles and other British bands). They’ve had a stellar career with 21 studio albums.
